FULVIX®: FA-500
Group 2 Fertilizer
Registration number, Act 36/47 - B3512
Organic registration number, SGSOPS/05/72
Fulvic acid
Product description:
A dark yellow/brown fulvic acid-containing liquid. The product contains a minimum of 30% fulvic acid, an organic acid with an exceptionally high cation exchange capacity (CEC) that also acts as an excellent biostimulant. Fulvic acid is also known as an organic chelate compound and is used as such to chelate micro elements such as zinc, boron, manganese, copper and iron. It also acts as a “carrier” of ammonium, nitrate, phosphate, calcium etc.
General information:
¨ Acts as a slow release carbon source and nutrient for microbes
¨ Stimulates root and shoot growth.
¨ Enhances seed germination.
¨ Acts as a natural chelate for micro and macro elements.
¨ Increases translocation and enzymatic processes in plants.
¨ Enhances photosynthesis and acts as a natural growth hormone.
¨ Increases the cation exchange capacity in the root zone.
¨ Increases the plant’s ability to produce phytoalexins, which in turn stimulate the plant’s natural defense system.
¨ Increases the absorption rate of most agrochemical products.

|
In combination with insecticides
|
Foliar application:
5ℓ/ha
|
High volume spray – repeat if there is no reduction. Fulvic acid is not an insecticide but a plant growth stimulator that increases the natural production of phytoalexins.
|
According to field trials, the following protocols can be used (test for compatibility by using the “jar test”)
|
Glyphosate
(Roundup)
|
1ℓ/100ℓ mixture
|
Increase the systemic effect of the herbicide.
|
|
Imidacloprid
(Confidor)
|
20mℓ/3mℓ Imidacloprid
|
Dissolve fulvic acid in water and then add the Imidacloprid.
|
|
Phosphoric acid
(Phosguard)
|
1ℓ/4ℓ Phosguard
|
As soil application via the irrigation system to reduce root rot.
|
Recommendations:
¨ Fulvic acid can be used with most agro-chemicals except agricultural oils and products containing stickers such as Roundup-Turbo. It is however recommended that a “jar test” is done prior to mixing Fulvic acid with any agro-chemical.
¨ Dilute Fulvic acid in water prior to adding fertiliser to the mixture.
¨ No compatibility tests have been done with Fulvix FA-500 and the above mentioned recommendations have been compiled through years of practical experience.
¨ Can be applied through any irrigation system.
Storage:
Store in a cool, dry area away from direct sunlight.
