Potassium Humate
Product Description:
Black potassium humate granules. The product is 90% soluble and comprises a minimum of 70% humic acid and 10% potassium. The humic acid component includes a minimum of 16% fulvic and ulmic acid. The solubility of this product facilitates a successful fusion with soluble fertilisers which is particularly important for reducing the ‘lockup’ rate of soluble phosphate sources, stabilising urea, chelating and complexing elements and buffering high sodium and heavy metals.
Packaging:
25 kg, paper bags.

Other Features:
¨ Non-toxic
¨ Promotes soil structure improvement by stimulating fungi to create a crumb structure for better water and oxygen intake and improved root penetration.
¨ Natural chelating and complexing agent to help magnify nutrient absorption
¨ Increases the permeability of cells to increase nutrient uptake by up to 40%
¨ Contains an auxin-like growth stimulant that can enhance cell division and elongation
¨ Can buffer the effects of excessive elements (particularly sodium), toxic chemicals and heavy metals
¨ pH buffering-capacity to help neutralise the problems associated with pH extremes
¨ Has a CEC of 588cmol/kg and is a good water retainer
¨ Promotes seed germination in a shorter-time
¨ No withholding period
¨ Has a nature which assists in soil wetting
When to Recommend:
¨ Can be used at any time for a synergistic effect when combined with granular fertilisers, especially soluble fertilisers.
¨ Can be applied directly to the soil at any time to help buffer excesses or toxins or to stimulate soil life, especially fungi.
¨ Ideal for stabilising granular nitrogen fertilisers, particularly urea, but also potassium nitrate and ammonium nitrate (NOT calcium nitrate).
¨ Microbes need a carbon source to digest nitrogen. Humates supply carbon and thus help limit carbon stripping from the soil.
¨ Can help limit phosphorus lock-ups when added to granular phosphate-based fertilisers.
Storage:
Cool, dry storage away from direct sunlight.
Miscellaneous:
¨ Incompatible with acidic materials including calcium nitrate, and all sulfate-based elements, and acid phosphate fertilisers – do a jar test if unsure of compatibility.
¨ Staining may occur on fruit or foliage therefore it may be necessary to avoid spraying just prior to harvest. May be unsuitable for cut flowers.
